Paul E. Collier, M.D., F.A.C.S.

Paul E. Collier, M.D., F.A.C.S. Dr. Paul E. Collier graduated summa cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania in 1975. He was elected into the Phi Beta Kappa honor society in 1974. Dr. Collier graduated from the Yale University School of Medicine with honors in 1979, and then completed a five year residency in General Surgery at Allegheny General Hospital in 1984. From 1984 to 1986 Dr. Collier received specialty training in vascular surgery at the Montefiore Medical Center in New York. Currently, he is Board Certified in both Vascular and General surgery. He has been in practice in Sewickley since 1986, and he currently resides in Sewickley with his wife, Nancy, and their two children, Annie and Luke.

Dr. Collier has been very active academically, publishing many papers about vascular surgery in peer-reviewed journals. He belongs to the International Society of Cardiovascular Surgery, the Eastern Vascular Society, the Peripheral Vascular Surgery Society, and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He recently completed his term as President of the Allegheny Vascular Society and is on the membership committee for the Society of Clinical Vascular Surgery. Dr. Collier serves as a Board Consultant for the American Board of Surgery, helping to make the exams that other surgeons take to receive their Board Certification. He also serves as an editorial reviewer for the prestigious Journal of Vascular Surgery. In 1985, Dr. Collier developed the non-invasive laboratory at Sewickley Valley Hospital, and currently is the Medical Director of the lab. He has organized and run the highly successful Sewickley Valley Hospital Vascular Conference for the last 9 years.

In his spare time, Dr. Collier coaches his children's soccer team and participates in a variety of athletics. He is a member of the Board of the Pittsburgh Zoo.
