- Founded the practice as a solo practice specializing in urology and urologic surgery. The practice grew to four physicians practicing at three office sites, employing 14 staff members, and providing a full range of adult urology and urologic surgery.
- Directed efforts to insure incorporation of any and all pertinent urologic advances into the group's armementarium. As a result of this policy, the group now practices urologic oncology, laser surgery, and laparoscopy.
- Initiated highly successful long-range strategic planning which, for the past six years, has resulted in average annual increases in patient volume of 15 percent.

- Supervised the revision of a workers' compensation insurance program by instituting formal safety assessment procedures as well as safety lectures and instruction for personnel at a 110-bed community nursing home.
- Oversaw a renegotiation of a compensation insurance contract.
- Lowered yearly workers' compensation premium costs by 50 percent, resulting in an immediate rebate of $150,000 to the organization.

- Founded a start-up, statewide, physician-owned health insurance company designed to provide quality, physician-driven healthcare to Pennsylvania subscribers.
- Involved in corporate development and long-range strategic planning, as well as the development of a stock prospectus to meet the requirements of the Pennsylvania Securities Commission.
- Solicited purchase of corporate stock by eligible physicians in southwestern Pennsylvania during the capitalization phase.
- Coordinated multiple direct mailings and conducted approximately 35 presentations to medical staffs at hospitals in southwestern Pennsylvania.
- Helped raise $19 million to capitalize and launch the company.

- Directed all start-up activities including corporate development and strategic planning; recruitment of chief executive officer, primary care physicians, specialists, and other staff members; site selection and construction; and financial management.
- Acted as a liaison between the group, hospital board, and community members. This highly successful organization now consists of 40 physicians, nine offices, and 95 employees.
