Endoscopy Room
Three Rivers Endoscopy Center is equipped with two fully certifed operating rooms that
feature state-of-the-art Olympus endoscopy equipment. Much thought went into designing these
rooms for patient comfort and safety. We know that there is enough anxiety simply in going
for special tests. That is why when a patient enters one of our endoscopy rooms (here shown
brightly lit), they are pleased to find a calm atmosphere of subdued lighting and soft
music. Each room is staffed with specially trained GI technicians and nurses who assist the
doctor. Once the patient is properly sedated, the equipment is brought forth and the
procedure performed. Thanks to these simple measures and the benefits of modern sedation,
most patients have no recollection of their procedure except the pleasant music in the
background.
Infection control is a high priority and Three Rivers Endoscopy Center's Prep Room utilizes the latest scope and accessory cleaning and sterilization equipment and techniques which exceed federally mandated EPA and OSHA guidelines. The patient need not fear risk of infection when having a scope examination here at our center.
