Robert D. Fusco, M.D.
Medical Director

A native of Western Pennsylvania, Dr. Robert D. Fusco was graduated
summa cum laude from the University of Pittsburgh. As an undergraduate, he
was elected into membership of Phi Beta Kappa scholastic honor society. In
1973, he received his medical degree with honors, also from the University
and was elected into Alpha Omega Alpha honor medical society. His specialty
training in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology was at Duke University
Medical Center in North Carolina. He has been in practice at Sewickley since
1977 and currently resides in Osborne with his wife.
They have three grown children.

In his spare time, he has been on the Quaker Valley School Board Technical
Advisory Committee and was President and co-founder of SewickleyNET, a
local nonprofit foundation dedicated to improving our children's and
community involvement in the Internet. Dr. Fusco is also webmaster of this website.

Dr. Fusco is a Diplomate of the American Board of Internal Medicine and is
certified both in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology. He is a member of
the American Gastroenterological Association, the American Society of
Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, Pennsylvania Society of Gastroenterology, the
American Association of Ambulatory Surgery Centers, and the American
College of Physicians. Dr. Fusco is an active participant in the
Gastroenterology Administration Assembly of the MGMA (Medical Group
Management Association). He is a physician advisor to the Western
Pennsylvania chapter of the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation of America. Dr.
Fusco is active on the staff of Sewickley Valley Hospital, and Ohio Valley
Hospital. He was formerly president of Sewickley Medical Association, a
multi-specialty group and is now president of the Center for Digestive Health
and Nutrition and Medical Director of Three Rivers Endoscopy Center both
located in Moon Township. He is a participating physician in Pennsylvania
Blue Shield and Medicare and his practice is limited to Gastroenterology.
