Computer Operations Room
Since our office practice - The Center for Digestive Health & Nutrition - and our endoscopy center - Three Rivers Endoscopy Center - are really two different organizations, our Computer Operations Room contains four separate computer systems as well as our new computerized phone system. On the Misys practice management system, we run our office practice with financial and billing information as well as our appointment scheduler. The Surgical Information System (SIS) computer is where all information pertaining to Three Rivers Endoscopy Center is located. The new ProVation endoscopy documentation software system allows our doctors to generate an endoscopy report with color photos within minutes of a "scope" test. What used to often take a week, now takes less than 5 minutes. The report is immediately available to the physician, patient and mailed or faxed to the referring physician the same day. Lastly, we have been using the PhoneTree Pro patient messaging system to send voice reminders about upcoming appointments and to communicate test results with our patients.
All of this vital information is backed up each night on tapes which are kept offsite for security and safety.
