Tour Three Rivers Endoscopy Center
We realize that the idea of having a procedure like a "scope test" can be very frightening especially the first time. We have put much time and energy into developing a "user-friendly" environment for our patients. First, patients and their families are greated by a large modern reception room which is staffed by our courteous Receptionist.
If this is your first visit, you may be asked to schedule an office consultation with one of our physicians or nurse practitioner. Our office practice, the Center for Digestive Health and Nutrition, is located adjacent to our endoscopy center. Our clinical office is staffed by our nurses who assist our patients through this process.
Before their examination, our patients are taken to our modern preoperative area where they are welcomed by our nursing staff who help prepare them for their endoscopic examination.
Three Rivers Endoscopy Center is fully equipped with two state-of-the-art endoscopy rooms. We have furnished these rooms with the latest procedure and monitoring equipment for maximum accuracy and safety. Most patients are pleased to learn that GI endoscopic procedures are performed with intravenous sedation to induce a "twilight state" making the tests as pleasant and painless as possible.
After their examination, our patients are taken to our modern nurses station where they can relax in the privacy of one of our six individual recovery rooms with a family member before returning home.
We are very proud of the many nurses and technicians that make up our Endscopy Center staff allowing us to give each patient the high quality personalized service they deserve.
Behind all of this is our administrative hallway which houses all non-clinical operations that are so necessary to support our clinical staff.
At the end of this corridor is our computer operations room which contains the computer systems for both Three Rivers Endoscopy Center and our office practice, the Center for Digestive Health and Nutrition as well as our new phone system.
As we have expanded our clinical operations over the past 14 years, our billing and authorization staff had to be moved off site for lack of space. They were relocated to a nearby building in the Cherrington complex and seamlessly linked to our main computer and phone system via a fast computer T1 line.
