Dr. Fusco Speaks at Healthplace 
Dr. Robert Fusco (left) was
introduced by Highmark Medical Director, Dr. Norton Hall when
Dr. Fusco recently addressed employees of Highmark Health
Insurance Company at their downtown Healthplace Center. The
topic was Prevening Colon Cancer. Dr. Fusco explained how colon
cancer is a silent disease which arises from small non-cancerous
colon polyps. He reviewed the factors which can influence one's
risk and explained the various screening techniques that are now
available to prevent this disease. He ended his lecture with a
video presentation which illustrated what the doctor actually sees during a
colonoscopy. The snare removal of colon polyps was demonstrated
and the audience learned what colon cancer looks like and how a
